Valleywise Health has earned recertification as a Pediatric Prepared Advanced Care Emergency Department. This is a highly prestigious recognition presented through a collaboration between the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AzAAP). 🏅 This designation represents the highest level of Pediatric Prepared Emergency Care certification, where we had to meet rigorous standards, including the requirement that 100% of our nursing staff must have advanced pediatric emergency care training. This reinforces our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional care to our community and is a source of pride for the entire team.

Valleywise Health has achieved an “A” Hospital Safety Grade rating! This marks a significant milestone for our organization, recognizing our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, safe patient care. This rating was given by a national independent watchdog organization, based on more than 30 performance measures reflecting errors, accidents, injuries, and infections, and the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them. Our dedicated team has worked relentlessly to prioritize patient safety and well-being, and this “A” grade is a direct reflection of our unwavering commitment to safety. Last week, Valleywise Health had an amazing time celebrating our sixth consecutive year as an “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Leader”! 🌈✨ We’re proud to be the first hospital in Maricopa County to participate in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Healthcare Equality Index (HEI). We were the first to receive a top score of 100, and continue to obtain a top score every year because of our commitment to discrimination protections and high-quality care to our LGBTQ+ patients, visitors, and staff. ✨This Halloween, Valleywise Health transformed our hospital’s pediatric units into a spooktacular world! Team members went trick-or-treating from room to room, sharing goodies and smiles our pediatric patients. Children enjoyed pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, and spooky crafts. They even received a special visit with comic books from superheroes Captain America and Batman, thanks to Comicare! It was a very heroic Halloween! 👻 We want to give a big shoutout to everyone who helped make this day so special.
