How can a large city reduce carbon emissions from a portfolio of more than 1,200 buildings? The City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering is working to retrofit municipally owned buildings to achieve carbon-neutral operations by 2045. Glumac, part of the Tetra Tech High Performance Buildings Group, is working with the City to create a leading-edge, 12-year building decarbonization work plan for city-owned municipal facilities. Key benefits include: 1. Helping the City better understand regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and successful policies and strategies from other municipalities 2. Identifying key building decarbonization opportunities that will reduce #GHG emissions, while improving the overall resiliency of City operations 3. Establishing an equitable prioritization criteria that allows the City’s plant to evolve and adapt as external conditions change over time 4. Developing a custom building decarbonization tracking tool that integrates with the City’s asset management system to accurately track progress Have questions about decarbonizing your building portfolio?
