Shaping a sustainable future for Europe
Biodiversity is declining at unprecedented rates driven by unsustainable human activities which in turn impacts the vital services that nature provides us with. Brussels remains a central point to address these challenges through legislation and policies being developed and implemented by the EU Institutions, such as the European Green Deal.
The IUCN European Office has built close relationships with the European Commission, the European Parliament, permanent representations of IUCN’s state members in Brussels as well as environmental NGOs, the private sector and other IUCN members. By bringing IUCN's expertise to the EU we are working to ensure we bring Europe's nature back.
