About us
Over eight decades, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has built an unprecedented global support system for the world’s children. UNICEF relentlessly works day in and day out to deliver the essentials that give every child an equitable chance in life: health care and immunizations, safe water and sanitation, nutrition, education, emergency relief and more. UNICEF USA advances UNICEF’s global mission by rallying the American public to support the world’s most vulnerable children. Together, we have helped save and meaningfully improve more children’s lives than any other humanitarian organization. UNICEF USA is proud to be recognized and certified as a Great Place to Work®.

Each year more than one million children under five lose their lives to preventable environmental risks. On a recent visit to Cambodia with our partners UNICEF Cambodia and UNICEF USA, we witnessed the impact of programs dedicated to protecting children’s environmental health. We met passionate health care workers equipped with the training and tools to protect children from environmental hazards and spoke with government officials and ministries as they work to implement health policies across Cambodia. In both rural and urban communities, we connected with families to understand how the places where children live, eat, and sleep directly impact their health. A true highlight of the week was hearing from youth climate activists, whose powerful message to us was clear: Invest in youth voices. The journey was a profound reminder of our shared mission to power progress for our world. Thank you, UNICEF Cambodia and UNICEF USA, for your partnership! On World Children's Day, we want to emphasise the importance of creating a world of sport where child rights are protected. We are currently working with host cities of the FIFA World Cup 2026 to advance safer, youth-inclusive sports. Recently, with our partners at the Aspen Institute Sports & Society, UNICEF USA, U.S. Soccer Foundation and National League of Cities we launched the Child Rights and Sports Alliance (CRSA) in the U.S. This collaboration aims to amplify youth voices, enhance child safeguarding, and drive community impact in preparation for the upcoming World Cup. 📌 Find more about Generation 2026 here: https://lnkd.in/ddPhUg_v 📌 Find more about the Child Rights and Sports Alliance here: https://lnkd.in/dE_8-DHj
