Colorado is facing a challenge to meet the demand for affordable housing, with 100,000 new units needed and thousands at risk of losing affordability protections. Last week, our Culture Committee hosted UDG's first ever Fall Fun Fest! 🍂🎃 This event was filled with creepy costumes, peculiar pumpkins, and tons of tasty treats! Our team was able to make the most of the afternoon and spent time being creative, enjoying yummy food, and socializing with one another. Events like these remind us of the importance of community and allow us to deepen our connection with one another, creating a thriving workplace. Ulysses Development Group (UDG) is thrilled to announce the simultaneous closings of Phases I and II of The Acacia at Youngtown, in Youngtown, Arizona. Spread across 13 buildings, this new construction, garden-style apartment community will provide 312 homes, consisting of 1BR, 2BR, 3BR, and 4BR. The Acacia at Youngtown will provide homes to families and individuals who earn at or below 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Construction will kick off immediately and is expected to finish in 2026. This community will also have several amenities to create a thriving and vibrant home for future residents. These amenities include a clubhouse, pool, fitness center, business center, outdoor gathering space, and a children’s play area. The Acacia at Youngtown will be UDG’s third new construction project in the State of Arizona. The meaningful impact we have been able to have on the creation of affordable housing in Arizona would not be possible without help from our many partners. We would like to extend our appreciation to the Arizona Department of Housing for providing tax credits and subordinate funding, the Arizona Industrial Development Authority - Arizona IDA for providing bonds, the Town Of Youngtown and Maricopa County. Last week, UDG and several partners walked The Meadowmark in its final phase of construction. The Meadowmark will have 200-homes for members of the community who are over the age of 55. Seeing The Meadowmark come to life over the last 18 months has been incredible, and we can’t wait to see the impact it has on the community at large. 🏘 Thank you to all of our partners who attended the tours this week, we are incredibly grateful for your participation. ✨ Leasing will commence soon, and space is limited! Exciting Announcement! 📢 Maleah Schmidt has been promoted to our Communications & Community Engagement Coordinator. In her new role, Maleah will be primarily responsible for all of our branding and marketing efforts, as well as media outreach, social media management, award nominations, Philanthropy, and other communication efforts. Maleah started her journey at UDG three years ago, as our Executive Assistant and Office Manager, and has been a pivotal member of our team. She is a constant source of energy and we are proud to be a part of her journey. Congratulations, Maleah!✨ We can’t wait to continue to grow together.
