The TidalHealth Foundation is thrilled to announce that the matching gift challenge made by Sandy and Palmer Gillis in memory of Carol Carbine has been successfully met! Thanks to the generous support of donors, a total of $317,484 was raised during the month of October for the Drive for Mobile Mammography. This achievement not only fulfills the matching gift, but also contributes significantly to the overall campaign, which has now surpassed $550,000 — bringing the TidalHealth Foundation closer to its $1 million goal. The funds raised will be essential in launching a mobile mammography unit, enabling increased access to critical breast cancer screenings in the community. The TidalHealth Foundation extends its sincerest appreciation to Sandy and Palmer Gillis for their commitment to this cause and to all supporters who contributed to making this matching gift challenge a success. Driving through a pathway lined with tribute signs for breast cancer warriors was an emotional experience at the TidalHealth Foundation’s Drive for Mobile Mammography Golf Tournament. As we passed by, we were reminded of the countless individual stories shared with us throughout this campaign- some of survival, some of loss, but all of courage. This stretch of concrete became more than just a golf cart path; it was a powerful symbol of solidarity, a tribute to the fighters, survivors, and those we’ve lost. I look forward to the day that we no longer have to produce signs like this.

On Monday, Oct. 21, 100 golfers from across the region enjoyed a beautiful day at The Peninsula on The Indian River Bay in Millsboro, Del. while playing in the TidalHealth Foundation’s Drive for Mobile Mammography Golf Classic which was presented by Preston Automotive Group. The event raised over $80,000 to benefit the TidalHealth Foundation’s Drive for Mobile Mammography campaign to purchase a state-of-the-art mobile mammography unit.
