The New York Health Plan Association was honored to be on hand for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation's event highlighting the partnership with Healthy Birth Day, Inc. to expand its Count the Kicks stillbirth prevention program in Bronx, Kings, and Queens counties in New York state. The the evidence-based program aims to educate expectant parents about the importance of monitoring their baby’s movement in the third trimester of pregnancy. Research shows at least 1 in 4 stillbirths can be prevented when expectant parents are educated on the importance of getting to know their baby’s normal movement patterns starting at 28 weeks.

#MemberMonday: @MVPHealthCare teamed up with NAMI-NYS to highlight the link between physical activity, social connections and mental well-being with its MVP Fitness Court Challenge, encouraging people to get outside & get moving. The event raised $5000 to support NAMI-NYS.
