Got a good dose of my own medicine today. Being a volunteer is a super power - improves personal well-being, provides a sense of purpose, connects you with your community, helps organizations with retention, among others. While my first thought this morning was, "I really have too much work today to volunteer - I can help out in another way," I came home from my shift with Food Bank of the Rockies totally jazzed. Working alongside my Blackbaud colleagues and seeing the families' faces as they picked up their Thanksgiving boxes truly filled my bucket. #GoVolunteer #ThanksgivingBlessings

As a part of Vectra Bank's VectraGives week, employees spent time at Food Bank of the Rockies sorting food and preparing meals. They packaged 2,821 meals and 3,385 pounds of food in 160 boxes! Thank you for volunteering your time!

Food insecurity exists in every county across the United States, from the poorest neighborhoods to the most affluent. Food Bank of the Rockies works to provide relief to the Colorado community and surrounding region through the dedication of volunteers and a group of partner organizations. This week, leaders from Cigna Healthcare and Evernorth Health Services gathered along with brokers and clients to support critical food bank work by stocking and prepping the pantry. This quote has been my compass since my days in the United States Marine Corps , reminding me that the greatest fulfillment comes from giving back. Last week, that guiding principle took me back to the stage as the emcee for the MIC of Colorado - Meetings Industry Council of Colorado annual fundraising event, Serving Up Hope—a celebration of community and generosity, raising vital funds for Food Bank of the Rockies . Here’s what makes this event unlike anything I’ve ever experienced: 100% of the funds raised—this year, over $45,000—go directly to supporting FBR. That means every dollar donated goes toward feeding those in need. No venue costs, no food expenses, no entertainment overhead. Just pure, unfiltered generosity. It’s truly humbling. Gratitude Overflowing To every volunteer who poured their heart into creating, hosting, and making this event unforgettable—you are the magic behind the curtain. To the event sponsors who gave so generously to ensure others have access to basic needs—you are the lifeline. To the Soup sponsors - Thank you for bringing joy to our palates and helping us serve up hope to those in need. Your generosity not only fills bowls but also hearts, we are deeply grateful for your support. Another successful food donation delivery to Food Bank of the Rockies! Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Cigna Healthcare and the Denver Broncos Football Club to our distribution center! 🏈✨ Broncos players, alumni, Miles the Mascot, Broncos cheerleaders, and Cigna staff came together to present a generous $15,000 check to the Food Bank of the Rockies. Thanks to their hard work packing food and their generous donation, we’ll be able to distribute over 60,000 meals this holiday season! Their kindness is a huge help as we work to meet the growing demand for food assistance in our community, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support.
