Last week I received news from Dr. Iman Hakim, Dean of University of Arizona, Zuckerman College of Public Health, that made me happy, humbled and even more motivated to do what I do at Breathe California of the Bay Area, Golden Gate, and Central Coast. She said I was chosen for The Young Professional Achievement Award that recognizes an alumnus age 40 and under who have attained prominence in their field. Little did I know that they were following me - I graduated many years back and have a story that I will have save for later about how I came to Breathe as a volunteer while working and studying! Thanks to my Alma mater, my board, my team, my mentor, my family, and the village that keeps me going!
