The Better Housing Coalition (BHC) is the Richmond, Virginia region’s largest nonprofit community development corporation. Volunteer Opportunities at BHC Properties Next Week 🦃🍂 Next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, we’re inviting volunteers to help spread some Thanksgiving cheer by serving meals to our residents. In partnership with The Underground Kitchen, we’ll be providing holiday meals in community spaces across BHC properties.🥧 Volunteers can help serve meals, package them for residents unable to attend, and deliver meals to those who need them. Dr. Patricia Bonwell from the Virginia Geriatric Education Center and Richard Roadcap, DDS, recently visited Monarch Woods to offer free dental screenings and dental health education for residents aged 65 and older. They also provided referrals to Lucy Corr Dental Clinic, connecting residents in need of dental care with no-cost services if they’re not currently seeing a dental provider. This collaboration between the VCU Virginia Geriatric Education Center, Dr. Roadcap, and community providers like Lucy Corr is vital in bringing essential dental care to seniors with limited income, no private dental insurance, and restricted access to dental services.
