We’re proud to announce our 2024 Energy to Educate grant recipients comprised of 20 STEM- and energy-related projects reaching more than 12,000 students from middle school through college. Since its inception in 2010, Energy to Educate has provided nearly $6.5 million in grant funding, empowering students to dive headfirst into STEM learning through experiences that will inspire them for years to come.

Great session to start off day two of #ANSWinter2024! With growing energy demands in the defense sector, it was inspiring to see officials from the White House, Army, Navy, and Air Force unite to discuss how nuclear can address these needs in the near future. Moderated by Rian Bahran, Ph.D., this panel featured Rachel Jacobson, Nancy J Balkus, and Walter "Wally" Ludwig, PE as they discussed nuclear energy's resilience against security threats and its role in providing clean, reliable power to military bases worldwide.

#ANSWinter2024 started off strong as an all-star lineup of #nuclear experts explored what “Now Comes the Hard Part” really means. We first heard from Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on nuclear’s role in addressing humanity’s greatest needs. Rachel Slaybaugh from DCVC took the stage next to share insights on the risk/reward paradigm in the nuclear industry and embracing the mantra, “a success anywhere is a success everywhere”. Finally, we were joined by Rex Geveden (BWX Technologies, Inc.), Mohamed El-Genk (The University of New Mexico), and Tyler Bernstein (Zeno Power) for a panel discussion on recent industry trends, what's driving demand, and how new developments in nuclear can respond to growing energy needs and challenges. Thank you to all who joined us, and we look forward to continuing the conversation on #AdvancingNuclear!
