French photographer Thomas Rousset captures the original garden-to-table experience at our Oxfordshire retreat, Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, A Belmond Hotel. Bringing the beauty of the gardens outside into every moment indoors, Thomas captures the surreal side of life in our kitchens and gardens with an avant-garde signature. "I was captivated by the magnificent Japanese garden in the middle of Oxfordshire. The pond water covered with a thin film of perfectly uniformed bright green moss added to the juxtaposition. This inspired me to create the image with the hotel staff member inside the pond performing his work duties. Throughout the final images I aimed to mix the subtlety of the absurd with the strange elements of daily human interactions. I hope you enjoy it“ – Thomas Rousset.
