DNASense acknowledges that our business comes at an environmental cost 🌍 As part of our efforts to mitigate this cost, we are pleased to announce that we are offsetting our electricity consumption through a partnership with Greenweb.world. 💚 Oxford Nanopore Technologies (ONT) sequencing and bioinformatics at scale use a lot of electricity, especially for the different GPU enabled processes. DNASense logged ~9.5 MWh for server use last year, and this year is looking to surpass 75 MWh. ⚡ By joining forces with Greenweb.world, we are taking concrete steps towards ensuring that our operations are sustainable and actively contributing to environmental restoration. 🌳 While these posts smack of greenwashing, we firmly believe that doing something is better than doing nothing. Considering the very affordable costs of CO2 offsetting, there is really no sound business case for not taking action. 🌎 https://lnkd.in/drpBiy7Y #ClimateAction #GreenWeb #Reforestation #CO2reduction #Nanopore

🎉👏 Congratulations to Mads Albertsen, co-founder of DNASense, for receiving the prestigious Elite Research Prize today! 🏆 His groundbreaking research in microbiology exemplifies his dedication to advancing scientific knowledge and inspiring future researchers. 🌟 This recognition highlights the profound impact of his work on society. At DNASense and beyond, we deeply value the contributions of Mads Albertsen, whose work we continue to integrate into our cutting-edge DNA sequencing endeavors.💡 Read more about Mads Albertsen’s research here: https://lnkd.in/dnNZftBD #ResearchExcellence #Microbiology #Innovation
📸 Kristoffer Juel Poulsen #aaudk #EliteForsk #videnforverden #worklifebalance
