Humana Foundation Systems and Communications Professional Chris Robinson recently attended Association of Corporate Citizenship Professionals's Annual Conference: “Impact Unleashed” in San Diego, California. This Veterans Day, we honor the brave individuals who have served our country and reflect on their sacrifices.     Too many veterans face mental health challenges, food insecurity and health disparities. Our Portfolio Strategy Principal Soojin Conover recently attended the American Public Health Association Annual Conference in Minneapolis. In partnership with Metro United Way, our Humana teammates celebrated Diwali with a volunteer event and packed 300 healthy snack kits for children in out-of-school-time programs!   Thank you to everyone who participated in the volunteer experience! This event exemplified our mission to improve nutritional health for school-aged kids. #TeamHumana #HumanaFoundation

Last week, our Director of Strategy and Community Engagement Keni Winchester spoke at a Grantmakers In Aging (GIA) conference. Our team recently gathered in Louisville for a two-day huddle focused on enhancing our ability to connect. We explored our team's predictive index personality types to improve our communication, heard from key philanthropy connectors in the area and engaged with our community partner, Home of the Innocents. During our visit to Home of the Innocents, we toured the facility, learned about the impact of our grant and participated in a volunteer activity of building a garden bed for the facility.    We also connected through presentations from our Network Resource Groups and participated in a day-long "Communicating Effectively" workshop with Fred Garcia from Logos Consulting, where we studied techniques to improve our communication and enhance our messaging.    These experiences are helping us develop our strategy, grow together and learn to listen more effectively to those we serve! #Philanthropy #HumanaFoundation
