Entrepreneurship is difficult, man. Close to 2 years back, when I decided to hang my boots at KPMG and venture into starting a Finance Specialised Recruitment Consultancy, HireGenie | Finance Recruitment Expert, I dreamt a world of success and paisa he paisa 🤑🤑 A year into it and with little success in entrepreneurship, I was hustling every day trying to figure out how to grow our work. I was confident on our expertise and the need of our services in the business, because not many recruitment consultancies had expertise in finance. But without any prior experience in entrepreneurship or a mentor, I was struggling to figure out on how to manage Branding, Marketing, Operations and (my newly married life). Fast forward to today, I’ve become a little wiser, learned some new skills (I am a pro at Canva and HubSpot) and decided to build a department specific teams. We have a marketing team and a content team who are doing amazing work. I continue to hustle and my body has 70% coffee now!!!! While our bank balances are a joke and my mental health keeps touching new low every day, the work we do at HireGenie brings me the most satisfaction for the impact it has on our clients and the candidates being placed. I still wonder, if asked to venture into entrepreneurship now, would I do it? The answer would be a big YES. It is the most difficult thing, but still yes. I feel at one with our work, I get to learn a new skill every day, build a beautiful team and do something which is extremely impactful. Entrepreneurship is a wild ride, testing you more than you thought possible. It's a dance of challenges and victories, a continuous learning curve. #entrepreneurship is difficult, yet, it is undeniably beautiful!
