We’re thrilled to see how our partnership with Cleveland Clinic has reduced the chore of documentation, allowing clinicians to focus on their core—patient care. A big thank you to Jaime Christian, Dr. Sandra Hong, and the Cleveland Clinic team for these impactful results and to the KLAS Arch Collaborative for sharing their success story. Together, we’re making real progress in tackling clinician burnout! https://lnkd.in/gY5Skf_U #CoreVsChore #CareEnablement #ClinicianWellBeing
Happy Friday! Congratulations are in order for Cleveland Clinic and IKS Health! Shout out to Jaime Christian and Sandra Hong MD for this work and partnership! The Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF) identified the pressing issue of provider burnout and turnover exacerbated by the documentation burden, particularly in after-hours charting. CCF found that the documentation burden, especially after-hours charting, was a strong contributor to provider burnout and was exacerbating turnover. To reduce this burden, the organization decided to implement scribes. After CCF adopted scribes, they reported the following outcomes: 24 percentage-point drop in providers saying they spend most of their time in front of the computer during patient visits 67 percentage-point decrease in the number of providers who say time spent charting at home (during evenings/weekends) is moderately or excessively high 50 percentage-point increase in providers reporting few or no symptoms of burnout - KLAS Research #ArchCollaborative #ehrsatisfaction #providerburnout #pajamatime https://lnkd.in/gwVParjS
