One of my treasured possessions is my Blue Peter badge. It's not quite as treasured as my pink show collection, but it's still up there. For the rest of the world's readers, I'd like to explain. Blue Peter is a children’s TV show—the longest-running in the world—and my younger self watched it weekly on the BBC. The presenters (often accompanied by the current Blue Peter dog) got up to all kinds of things, from sky diving to interviewing zoo keepers to craft demonstrations. Part of the routine when guests visited the show was that they would be presented with a Blue Peter badge. It’s like a medal - you only get it if you’ve been on the show. Imagine my excitement when I heard that Blue Peter was coming to my town to film an episode. I was 5 or 6, and they were moving a signal box from a disused railway line at the end of my road. Simon Groom came with Goldie. I even got a day off school! If you’re interested, this is the railway that the signal box was moved to: https://lnkd.in/dpQRYURa I still feel proud of my badge because it makes me part of the Blue Peter story. It symbolises being part of a community and the Blue Peter story. It’s similar to Swifties making, wearing and exchanging friendship bracelets. How can you use this in your business?
