Nanogenics' own Suzy Dilly is joining the #Pharmaintegrates event hosted by Life Science Integrates next month! Discussing the topic "Patients are a Virtue", the panel will consider the impact of patient involvement in drug development. Follow the link for further details! #networking #biotech #innovation
Following on from her successful panel at Health Tech Integrates earlier this year, Sheuli Porkess gives us her insights to what she sees are the obvious links between using AI in medical device development and public and patient involvement in research. Patients are taking an increasingly proactive role in the development of new treatments. With an increase in patient and public involvement across research, trials and government initiatives, how are we ensuring we design treatments for the people who need them? And how can we navigate the newly revised transparency rules for the Clinical Trials Information System to avoid intellectual property challenges whilst better supporting patients? Facilitated by Richard Weaver, Managing Director of Drug Discovery solutions ‘Patients are a virtue’ will feature - Sheuli Porkess, Chief Medical Officer and Business Unit Director at Precisia C2-Ai - Suzy Dilly, Advisor at NanoGenics - Ravi Srinivasan, Partner at J A Kemp LLP - Natasha Ratcliffe, Principal, Patient Engagement at LifeArc Make sure you don’t miss out on the opportunity to join us on the 12th November in London for #PharmaIntegrates. https://lnkd.in/eMbax4t9

Today, on International Clinical Trials Day, I reflect on my life sciences career journey that began at Quintiles (now IQVIA). It was at Quintiles that I first witnessed the incredible impact of clinical trials in advancing human health. From those early days, I learned the importance of dedication, precision, and collaboration in bringing new treatments to the patients who need them. With the advent of AI in clinical research, we're entering a new era of possibilities. AI is revolutionizing how we design, conduct, and analyze trials, making the process more efficient and uncovering insights that were previously out of reach. This technology enhances our ability to accelerate discoveries and bring life-saving treatments to patients faster. As we honor the contributions of everyone involved in clinical research – from scientists, data scientists, biostatisticians and researchers to patients – let's remember that our work is not just about data and protocols. It's about the lives we touch and the futures we help shape. Here's to continued progress, innovation, and the relentless pursuit of a healthier world. Happy Clinical Trials Day! #ICTD24 #MedicalInnovation #ClinicalResearch #AIinHealthcare

Cristy Patterson, our Senior Director of Life Sciences Partnerships, attended #CRAACO2024 and #DPHARM2024 earlier this week in Philadelphia. Here are some of her key takeaways from the conferences. 🩺Supporting research-naive investigators — To increase the diversity of trial participants, we need to include more investigators who haven’t previously conducted research, but sponsors have specific criteria and infrastructure requirements that can make it harder for interested clinicians to get started. 🔍 Sourcing eligible patients – Patient identification continues to be a challenge, and while there is a huge range of technology solutions that can support the process, they are not one-size-fits all. 🤝Identifying strong partners — The right partnerships continue to hinge on building trusted relationships, and evaluating who might be the right partners is challenging, even for large organizations. 🔢Leading with data — Sponsors are increasingly using AI to analyze past performance data and incorporate predictive elements to determine which sites are likely to be strong performers for research. However, we need to be aware of bias, whether human-based or pre-existing, in the data used to build the models.
