Exciting and insightful first day at the EMBL conference "Quantitative Biology to Molecular Mechanisms" #EMBLOmics EMBL Events - Here are some selected highlights: ▶️ Lacra Bintu presented a high-throughput-screen for transcription effector domains using the rTetR dox-inducible DNA-binding domain. https://lnkd.in/dxaUgc_d ▶️ James Hackett showed fantastic screens addressing the question whether chromatin marks are cause or consequence and whether they are persistent. https://lnkd.in/du9D3vX5 ▶️ Kathryn Lilley talked about a whole range of amazing toolkits to study sub-cellular localization of RNA, protein and their interactions - LOPIT, OOPS and LoRNA. https://lnkd.in/dcKXBQXX https://lnkd.in/dEPCgMAv ▶️ Abdelghani Mazouzi introduced very cool "phenomics" tools highlighting the utility of gain-of-function screens. A bit tired after this talk marathon, but motivated for 2.5 more days of ground-breaking high-throughput science.
