Oscar Wilde once famously said, "To live is the rarest thing in the world, most people exist, that is all." And let's face it, he hit the nail on the head with that one. Too often we find ourselves just going through the motions of life without truly living it to its fullest potential. We get so caught up in our day-to-day routines and responsibilities that we forget to stop and smell the roses, as they say. But living isn't just about breathing; it's about taking risks, following your passions, and embracing every moment with enthusiasm. So let's make a pact to not just exist, but to truly live life in all its chaotic glory - because who wants to look back on their life and realize they missed out on all the good stuff? Seize the day, my friends!

Four years ago this week, the word ground to a virtual halt. The #sportsbiz was impacted as much as any other industry. In some ways, it seems like yesterday. In others, it seems like a lifetime ago. I do remember telling myself that if I made it through the lock down I would never again complain about being too busy. So, as I near the end of a great engagement I've had for the past several months, I find myself looking to add some partners to my dance card. So, if you have a need for an outside resource, or know someone who does, please keep me in mind. But, I digress. Let's mark the anniversary by recognizing the nice people around us through the weekly Nice Guy Awards. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EST on Thursday. There are only 3 requirements: 1) you have to be connected to the person you nominate 2) you can only nominate one person per week 3) you can’t nominate yourself 😀 If you want to provide a brief reason for your selection, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement. Let’s recognize people who make a difference simply by being nice. Have a great day, everyone. https://lnkd.in/eHkYyptp #opportunities #network #people #niceguy #networking #sportsmarketing

This is such a great analogy for startup founders trying in sales — It might feel uncomfortable, but if you're not willing to dive in, and lead from the front, no one's going to come with you. 🌊 #b2b #sales #startups #technology #artificialintelligence #entrepreneurship

What does Hispanic Heritage Month mean to you? Given that my last name is Sánchez, you were probably expecting this post. 😊 I grew up in a small town in Minnesota. But I always had big dreams and knew that there was so much more of the world to explore. 🌍 When I was 21, I finally got the opportunity to put a stamp in my passport and study in Spain. That trip was life-changing for me (even beyond meeting the man who would eventually be my husband!) There are so many lessons we can learn from other cultures when we are open to them: ➡️ We’re more alike than we are different. Cultural differences are real, and learning to respect and navigate these differences will enhance your ability to work in many different environments. But at our core, we are all human beings who have the same basic needs. When we recognize our similarities and appreciate our differences, we learn to live and work effectively together. ➡️ Growth happens when we change our environment. It’s comfortable to fall into patterns with the same people, places, and things. We need good habits in our lives. But we can’t grow without taking uncomfortable action into places we’ve never been. We don’t always need to take a flight to change our environment either. ➡️ When we engage with the stories, traditions, and values of different cultures, we enrich our own understanding of the world. My kids are grown up now, but they look at the world a little differently because they understand their heritage. Hispanic Heritage Month and similar celebrations of other communities are times to honor and celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of these communities. But they are also opportunities to explore something deeper—new perspectives. How are you keeping yourself open to them?

Ushering Digital Transformation Leaders, Risk Mgmt, Appsec, AI, CISO Advisory, Security Testing, Sales Leadership, Community Builder, Storytelling Strategist: Solving for Mindfulness Burnout Training for January 2025
We have thousands of women building up in the Cybersecurity pipelines, and we want those flood gates to open with Employers that will take them the rest of the way! Don't think about it. JUST DO IT! BE THE FIRST TO TAKE BOLD PLUNGES IN THE NAME OF YOUR TEAM! Women: Release your inhibitions! Let me see your excitement, for what's in front of you. A former Sales Manager in my past, just got a job at Crowdstrike She's now releasing her inhibitions, empowered. I feel like I'm about to jump out of my skin, bolder, and badder, more helpful to the world, when Employers receive women, instead of put hurdles in front of them. What Bright Lights can I put on the next bridge, to make life just a little more brighter for the world? When AI released, I leaped a second time. A company asked me to be open, be coachable into a new system. Illana Golan has been retreating with Richard Branson. How facinating that would be for me to tap some special people. I'm holding my feet to the fire, tired on my own frustrations with myself. I can drive like a machine, and then I can rest, at times. When my head spins, I have to use the ear seeds, massage and a hot tub to balance myself. I have a different process for working the mind, body and breathe. Truth is, your thoughts matter! In Sales, my Partners are an extension of me. Sometimes we might compete, but not if we're working it right, in good communication, and with a spirit that is good for the end users. We balance, support, and act as ONE TEAM! New learnings: a "one call close". You've never heard of it, I know. Me either. Not in Enterprise, I don't think, but I'm being open minded. Did you see that ZOOM took my advice on IVR? Its a new cloud offerring. Smartest move EVER! Its now REALTIME AI TRANSACTIONS EVERYWHERE. Yesterday, I had a first job interview in years. I always keep an open mind. The first question was self-sabatogging from a Hiring Mgr. It was, "Do you have a book of business?" Its a BIASED question toward having relationships with certain companies of which he could call out the names, specifically. You CAN'T do that anymore! My response was, "You're not giving me an opportunity to present the best of myself". He was set aback, and proceeded with the second question. It became a 30 min interview. I give him credit for his bravery to see a women. He's now someone in my fold to call on, for another reason in my Communities. I never throw opportunities away. I'll bring him value, and he will bring me value one day. This is a sales lesson, if you can't quite recognize it.

This is what we believe in We aim to be a place where everyone belongs. So, we give people the tools they need to reach further, go faster, and be stronger. Last week, was the culmination of the Cannes Lions International Festival, which for a normal human is, in short, the proverbial Oscars of marketing. The epicenter of global advertising brilliance. 🏆 Yes, it is exactly as dramatic as it sounds. A Cannes Lion victory is not just any accolade; it is the proclaimed pinnacle of the industry. The entire week is a whirlwind of creativity, learning, and networking set against the stunning backdrop of the French Riviera. 🌊🌞 Here are three key insights from the week passed: 1. 🎨 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲, 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐮𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐢𝐭: The most impactful campaigns demonstrated that breaking the mold and pushing creative boundaries can lead to groundbreaking results. Whether it was a poignant social message or a humorous take on everyday life, the winners showcased the power of thinking outside the box. 2. 🌍 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞: Brands that aligned their campaigns with a greater purpose and not just for profit stood out. 3. 🤝 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Many of the award-winning campaigns were the result of the fusion of varied skills and perspectives for seamless collaboration between diverse teams.
