What do medical assistants do? Kysha, a senior medical assistant from MEDSTAR HEALTH shares her experience working as a medical assistant and what she likes most about her team. 🩺🚑 1️⃣ What do you like most about your role? One of the things I like about being a medical assistant is that we are the ones who set the tone for the patient when they come into the office. Our facial expression, what we say, our tone of voice while we’re triaging the patient can make all the difference for a patient to feel safe in a health care environment. 2️⃣ What’s it like working in a Maryland hospital? What I like about working at MedStar Health is the promotion of teamwork and the constant pursuit that we are all on one accord. How we treat our patients and help manage their care can be a contributing factor for patients to keep their health care a priority. Keeping that in mind. Along with your special gifts, you can become a part of a community that is the MedStar Health team. 👉 Learn about Kysha's positive experience on the JoinMdHealth blog: https://lnkd.in/eTE_uGim #medicalassistantsweek #AMARWeek #medicalassistants

What are my responsibilities as a doctor when delegated a task? When accepting responsibility for delegated tasks, you must prioritise #PatientSafety over other considerations such as training opportunities or performance assessments. It’s your responsibility to make sure you: - understand exactly what you’re being asked to do and ask questions if you don’t - are capable of carrying out the delegated task, under supervision where necessary - have an understanding of the patient, which may involve reading notes and reviewing test results where applicable. For more information and advice, have a look at our summary of the updated General Medical Council guidance on clinical handover, delegation and referral ➡️https://lnkd.in/er2vN-Dt #ClinicalHandover #ClinicalGuidance #GoodMedicalPractice

Physician Recruiter - I provide clinicians more career opportunities and negotiate better compensation terms.
According to WalletHub's 2024 ranking, Montana, South Dakota, and Nebraska are the top three states for physicians to practice in the U.S. Montana claimed the top spot overall, excelling in opportunity and competition, and ranking third for the medical environment. Nebraska, ranking third overall, secured the first position for the medical environment and 22nd for opportunity and rank. On the other hand, Hawaii, Rhode Island, and New Jersey were deemed the worst states for physicians. Hawaii, in particular, ranked poorly at 49th for opportunity and rank, and 47th for the medical environment. The yearly assessment relies on two primary aspects: opportunity and competition, as well as the medical environment. In these areas, WalletHub assessed 19 criteria such as average yearly income, hospitals per capita, public health system quality, and hospital safety ratings. Each of these metrics was rated on a scale of 100 points, with 100 indicating the most advantageous circumstances for physicians. WalletHub then computed an overall score by averaging the results of all 19 metrics.
