Two years ago, we launched the Dermalogica Free Recycling Program with TerraCycle. Since then, with the help of our community, we’ve kept thousands of pieces of Dermalogica packaging out of landfills and made sure they were recycled instead. We’re committed to making choices that are better for the environment, including offering our free recycling program, designing our products to be curbside recyclable when possible, using recycled material in our packaging, and more. A big thank you to our community for joining us on this journey. Here’s to many more years of caring for your skin AND the planet. https://lnkd.in/gYKMn9iC

Motueka’s family-run sustainable recycling depot Weka Peckers has just reached its one year Food & Beverage carton (F&B carton) #recycling anniversary, reporting an incredible exponential curve on take up. We recently visited the site and were delighted to hear from Merv and Ricarda about their journey in this space. As the region's one and only collector of F&B cartons, they've had to build awareness from the ground up, but it's working. While it took them six months to reach their first tonne of cartons (which get sent to Hamilton for recycling), it took them just two months to reach their next tonne, and they have since collected four tonnes of cartons (around 50,000 Packs)! The couple are expecting to collect one tonne a month in the near future, with cartons coming from individuals and cafes/restaurants from all over the region, including Kimi Ora Eco Resort, #ReviteMotueka, #TasmanStore, #ParkCafeMarahau, #JavaHutMapua and more. #GrassRootsRecycling supports collection for Weka Peckers in Nelson. F&B cartons are just a small component of the overall 1000 tonnes of waste Weka Peckers is diverting once a year, as discussed this week on Stuff. https://lnkd.in/gfJq6dkX Find out more about the Weka Peckers recycling treasure trove on their website here: https://wekapeckers.nz// #sustainability #motueka #nelson #wekapeckers #missionzero #climatechange #climateaction #roadtozero #fandbcartons #tetrapacks

We're proud to share Amherst Label's Liner Recycling Program! ♻️ Established in early 2023, their program has made a significant impact in reducing waste and promoting sustainability. With 12 drop-off locations across New England accepting Clear PET liners, they are making it easier for the local label community to participate in recycling efforts. Check out these statistics by filling just 1 Gaylord: - Weight recycled: 2064 lbs. - CO2 emission savings (vs landfill disposal): 3873 lbs. - CO2 emission savings (vs incineration): 524 lbs. By recycling your label liners, it is not only diverting waste from landfills but also reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment. Every contribution makes a difference! Check out their website for more information on this program! https://lnkd.in/e7R3iTdK #inovarlocations #inovarpackaginggroup #amherstlabel #labelprinter #liner #recycling #sustainablity #linerrecycling

We received a special visit from BEM Recycling, our e-wastes recycling partner at our headquarters last Friday. The recycling company organised a workshop focused on responsible electronic waste collection and recycling achieving a total of 18 man-hour training. Through this collaboration, we ensure that all e-waste is securely and confidentially processed, reinforcing our dedication to circular economy and sustainability. This year alone, we successfully diverted over 300 kg of e-waste from landfills during our first 2024 campaign—a significant contribution to environmental preservation. But our efforts don’t stop there; for our second e-waste collection campaign in 2024, we are working hand-in-hand with BEM Recycling to not only raise awareness, but also exploring new opportunities for circular projects that will benefit our stakeholders and the communities we serve. Our employees are fully engaged, bringing their personal e-waste for safe recycling, further amplifying our impact on carbon footprint reduction. #Archemics #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #CarbonFootprintreduction #EmployeeEngagement #Collaboration #BEMRecycling

💡 Did you know? If just 200,000 people each recycled one more PET bottle per day, it would eliminate 2,168 tons of greenhouse gases. At Green PET Recycling, we're working towards that statistic. By working with us, you're reducing landfill waste and lowering greenhouse gas emissions. Every bottle counts. Connect with Zohar Levy to learn how your business can make a significant impact.

This week has seen some big movement in the Simpler Recycling policy. As part of Simpler Recycling, most councils are required to implement weekly food waste collections by 31 March 2026. Defra has now announced it is providing £295 million in funding for local authorities to support them to introduce these collections. This week, a survey by the Local Government Association has also found that 67% of local authorities are not confident they will hit their net zero targets. Ahead of the latest special edition of Circular which celebrates CIWM’s 125th anniversary and dives into the fine print of Simpler Recycling policy to understand the next steps for the sector, Circular Online unpacks these developments in detail in this video: #circulareconomy #sustainability #foodwaste #SimplerRecycling
