If you would have more mental health counseling positions next to social workers, especially when you advertise for psychotherapists, it would open the field and better serve our veterans. You have social worker positions at Hampton VA, but no counseling positions.

Occupational Therapy have now been deemed reimbursable and credentialed to provide Mental Health intervention without derailing from our scope of practice. We would not be doing Social Work intervention. Our focus will be providing techniques and strategies to be a functional, safe and productive individual within their daily living skills. The Mental Health crisis is rising and our society has become calloused to the needs of these individuals. TEAM WORK FROM ALL DISCIPLINES need to be cohesive and accepting of eachothers role in order to rise above the chaos and focus on what is important. The one who will benefit from our GOD GIVING GIFTS. This is exciiting for the future of Occupational Therapy Practitioners/Providers. 🙏🏼💜 #OTRocks

I applied about 3 times and nothing. The process got in the way because I do not have an insider to help me write what they are looking to hire. The process is at best confusing. I understand there are openings at my local VA and can find nothing on them. I was told that VA employees are not supposed to help someone with their application, but I still strongly suspect that it is happening to the exclusion of those who don’t know someone. And this is within the social work department which is supposed to have the highest ethics of all professions.

Mental health of the employees is nearly as important as the mental health of the Veterans. We can't help them with the best if we aren't the best ourselves. Help us so we can help those that deserve the best.

I believe my work experiences in customer service, unusual behavior of patients and the ability to work under pressure would be an asset to your organization as well as my desire to continually learn.

Hi! Do you have any contract positions available? We operate a physical practice in Pensacola, Florida, and also provide telehealth consultations. I'd love to explore if there's an opportunity for collaboration.
