Is crypto Republican? Is it Democrat? We asked crypto owners. They said neither. 73% of crypto owners in America believe crypto legislation should be non-partisan. So there’s that.
The Crypto community may not have a political preference, but it’s clear that the leading two political parties in the US have vastly different opinions on crypto, blockchain, and regulational clarity. The lack of clarity on building blockchain and crypto related products in the US leads US based companies to typicaly domicile outside the US as regulations are unclear/unfavorible. Larger government, increased restrictions and lack of regulation does not support development and technology of crypto and blockchain in the US.
Crypto is seen as more Republican because it supports ideas like less government control, more personal freedom, and fewer regulations. These align with traditional Republican values of free markets and limited government.
"should be" apolitical, but it clearly is. It's very cut and dried. Democrats are openly hostile to Crypto, Republicans are not
How about we look at how individual users are being treated. My Coinbase account has been locked and my money kept from me for close to a week with no explanation provided. Is that how @Coinbase treats all of their customers, or just me?
How can I get the Coinbase ventures contac email?
Crypto is not political. Its is an inevitability as a global currency elected officials just need a new talking point to capture more voters. It is also an inevitability that the 2 party system will be deconstructed at some point in the future because people of America largely don't agree with 100% of either party and want more dynamic options that blend both parties.
Coinbase Crypto is only scam
I cannot even start on how I am tired of all crypto investors suddenly becoming political experts… crypto should be decentralized and non-political whatsoever
The age-old question: is crypto Republican or Democrat? Well, it seems like crypto owners have already given their verdict - a resounding "neither"! And I couldn't agree more. With 73% of American crypto owners believing that crypto legislation should be non-partisan, it's clear that this technology transcends traditional party lines ¹. As we've seen, politicians from both sides are starting to take notice of crypto's potential. Some Republicans, like Donald Trump, have even changed their tune on crypto, with Trump's potential VP pick, Vivek Ramaswamy, being a pro-crypto advocate ¹. Meanwhile, pro-crypto super PACs are pouring millions into the 2024 elections, showing that crypto's influence knows no party ². So, let's keep the conversation focused on the tech and its potential, rather than trying to pigeonhole it into outdated partisan categories. After all, crypto's decentralized nature is all about breaking down barriers and creating a more inclusive financial system.
