So excited to be part of the 3rd annual My City My Health Des Moines event on November 15th! Join us as we dive into meaningful conversations about health equity, mental health, and more. Health equity means everyone has a fair chance to achieve their highest level of health, regardless of social, economic, or environmental factors. When communities work to ensure health equity, they improve overall community well-being. Access to quality healthcare can lead to better health status for everyone - this reduces the spread of diseases and lowers healthcare costs across the community. Ignoring health disparities not only affects marginalized groups but can also strain a communities' healthcare systems and impact the economy. Health inequities contribute to higher rates of chronic illnesses, which affects productivity and increases healthcare expenses for all. By prioritizing health equity, we create a thriving community which leads to: a healthier community, increased productivity, and a more equitable future for generations to come. Come and learn more about how to actively engage and work to increase health equity. Register today and be part of the change: "www.mycity.health".
