𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝗞ü𝗵𝗻𝗲𝗹, 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝟯 🔋👥🌱 Ruben Kühnel is a battery scientist from Empa. He leads work package 3, which focuses on the development and upscaling of the electrolyte for the two generations of IntelLiGent cells. In addition, formation protocols for these cells are developed in the work package. Empa is jointly developing the electrolytes with E-Lyte, who upscales and distributes them to project partners. AIT Austrian Institute of Technology is validating select electrolytes and formation protocols in IntelLiGent pouch cells.   - We recently completed the development of the electrolyte and formation protocol for the first-generation prototype pouch cells of the IntelLiGent project. 🌍 We are proud to announce the completion of the sustainability due diligence of Ion Beam Services (IBS) for the Ardian Semiconductors fund, the first of its kind in Europe, launched last year. IBS, a key player in the semiconductor industry, is Europe’s leading manufacturer of ion implanters, with around 100 full-time employees and several production sites in France and Scotland. Ion Beam Services drives its business across three major segments: Ion Implant Equipment, Water Services, and Equipment Services. In collaboration with Ardian Semiconductors, Indefi carried out a comprehensive sustainability due diligence, applying our experience in evaluating environmental and social impacts within the semiconductor industry. This investigation allowed us to: • Identify sustainability impacts, risks, and opportunities along the Company’s value chain • Assess the Company’s sustainability performance across material sustainability topics • Benchmark the Company against the world’s top ion implant technology companies 👏 Congratulations to IBS’s CEO laurent ROUX and to Ardian Semiconductor’s team: Lise Fauconnier, Corentin Lacourte, and Alexis Fallait, as well as Dr Bernard ASPAR, Partner at SILIAN PARTNERS SA.
