Accessing GPUs
- [Instructor] In this course, you're going to need access to GPUs. So I want to show you a few different places where you can go to get some access to GPUs. Throughout this course, you'll see me use Google Colab Pro. And so that's one option available to you. The model that we're going to use throughout the course is a small model, and it'll be able to run just fine on the free tier of Google Colab, with a T4, though you might have to wait a little while for generation. Obviously, the more powerful of a GPU you have, the faster your generation can be. The bigger GPU you have, the bigger language model you can play around with. So because I want to make this course as accessible as possible to everyone who's taking it, I purposely chose a model that is small enough to fit on the free tier of Google Colab. Now, if you wanted to get access to some of the big gun GPUs, for example, a L4 or an A100, you would need to subscribe to either Google Colab Pro+, which is Canadian $67 a month…
