What is rigging and why is it important?
- [Instructor] Rigging is a process of adding bones to your characters and objects so that way, they can be easily animated inside of Blender. We're going to cover this topic over the course of two videos. In this one, we'll focus on sending up our rig, also known as an armature, inside of Blender. And then in the next video, we'll talk about Pose Mode and refining the rig of it. Let's go ahead and add an armature and start adding some bones. The very first thing you want to do is to center your 3D cursor. That's this little thing over here, and it's quite valuable because wherever you have it in 3D space is where your objects are going to be added. So let's go to View, Align View, Center Cursor and Frame All. Now you can see that your 3D cursor is at the origin, 0:00. Let's go ahead and click on Add and add an armature. And for this next few parts, I like to be in Wireframe Mode, so let's turn that on. And for good…
