As a Page super or content admin, you can import posts from your organization’s RSS feeds to share in a post directly on your Page. Content sharing can help you efficiently post your content from external web sources to your LinkedIn Page and grow and engage your followers. When you set up content sharing, you can choose to set it up for manual sharing or automatic sharing.
External source types that are currently supported include your organization’s websites, blogs, YouTube channels, and other RSS supported sources. Page admins can decide whether to authorize LinkedIn to share content automatically or opt for manual sharing.
Important to know
- If the option to set up content sharing doesn’t appear in your Settings, your Page might not yet be eligible for content sharing. To gain access to the feature, finish setting up your Page and start posting content regularly.
- Automatic posting is currently available to a limited number of Pages.
Manual sharing
If you opt for manual sharing, you’ll be notified each time a new post from your RSS feed becomes available to post on LinkedIn. The drafted post will include a link to the original source and might include a preview image. You can review the drafted Page post and edit it as needed before publishing it on LinkedIn. Once published, the content will be shared with members on LinkedIn, like other Page posts.
Automatic sharing
If you opt for automatic sharing, content that’s ingested will be automatically posted by your Page based on your selected settings. When you set up automatic sharing, you’ll have the option to create custom text for your posts or use the description text from your RSS feed.
Important to know
- Sources you submit to LinkedIn through this feature must only contain content that you and your organization have the right to post on LinkedIn and must not violate anyone’s rights, including intellectual property rights, or the Professional Community Policies.
- Your use of this feature is subject to the LinkedIn Pages Terms.
- Review LinkedIn’s Copyright Policy to ensure the content you share is compliant.
As new content is added to your external source, it will become available to post to your Page. Note that there’s a daily limit, so if you have any new content posted on your RSS feed on a given day, you might not see all your content available to post on LinkedIn. If there’s content you’d like to share that isn’t available to post with this feature, you can still create a new post for that content.
