We do not associate with individual members or visitors the data generated by passive impressions of our “Share on LinkedIn”, “Follow Company”, “Autofill” and “Apply Starter” plugins. We discard this data when it reaches LinkedIn and only retain the IP addresses, time, device, and browser information for security, fraud prevention, and traffic management.

Please note that “passive impressions” refer to when a user does not interact with a plugin, but merely visits a page with a LinkedIn plugin button on it. When a member chooses to interact with a plugin (e.g., shares a news story on LinkedIn, follows a company or autofills a form), this “active impression data” is retained in order to deliver and improve the related services and personalize the experience.
