Expanding digital services remains a priority for state and local governments, according to a new article from Government Technology's Ashley Silver. According to the article, “State and local governments are moving toward constituent-centric digital services, using new and old tech to introduce new conveniences that simplify customer interactions.” This growing need for self-serve tools for residents is something we hear from our partner communities daily. For many communities we work with, helping residents access the information and documentation that they need, like Elevation Certificates, and answering questions about individual property flood risk, is one of their top priorities - but it can also be time-consuming and frustrating on both sides. Forerunner’s tools make it easier for residents to access the information they need digitally, and free up time for floodplain management teams to tackle other essential work. https://lnkd.in/eBJx9taB

This feature allows users to measure approximate BFEs directly within the platform, supporting communities that do not have BFE values on their Flood Insurance Rate Maps.
