It is alleged that Dr. Kenneth Fishberger conspired with others to order hundreds of medically unnecessary brain scans in exchange for kickbacks. It is further alleged that Fishberger and his co-conspirators used false diagnoses to order the scans, for which a co-conspirator would submit claims to Medicare and other insurance companies. The scheme resulted in fraudulent bills of approximately $650,000 to the VA. #va #oig #veterans #fraud Check out Veteran Oversight Now, the VA OIG’s official podcast at https://lnkd.in/e7fsEUiW Watch congressional testimony on our YouTube Channel: https://lnkd.in/gVpDj5h9 Stay up to date on all VA OIG oversight activity by signing up for email alerts: https://lnkd.in/e8XSQKd
