Last week, I had the opportunity to attend Chapter Leadership Summit hosted by WTS International, bringing together chapter leaders from across North America. WTS International and Foundation board members led us through insightful workshops and meaningful conversations about how to thrive as local chapters. We explored strategies for some of our biggest challenges, including member engagement, impactful EDI programming, and board succession planning. One of the biggest takeaways for me was the importance of taking risks and embracing failure when it comes to growth and learning. This felt like an especially important lesson as I prepare to lead WTS Philadelphia as President for the 2025-2026 term. Thank you to WTS International for organizing this event and Bridgette Beato in particular for encouraging me to attend. Thank you to all the fellow leaders for sharing their experiences and expertise. I’m excited to take what I’ve learned and apply it to WTS Philadelphia, as we continue to works towards the mission of WTS: attracting, sustaining, connecting, and advancing women in transportation!
