Join Us for the 5th Annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Conference in Charlotte! We’re thrilled to announce the City of Charlotte's fifth annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Conference, happening from September 29 to October 2. When you hear "DEI Conference," race and gender often come to mind, but this event is so much more. We're expanding the conversation to include recruitment strategies, legal frameworks, cultural diversity, and human relations. Our workplaces are evolving, and so must we. The theme, “Bridging Perspectives, Empowering Change with Intentional Inclusion,” speaks directly to this need. Sticking to the familiar can be tempting, but true growth comes when we step outside our comfort zones. Continuing to do things "the way they've always been done" can stifle innovation and progress. We all know that repeating the same actions and expecting different results is the very definition of insanity. This conference is more than just a dialogue—it’s a catalyst for change. We'll explore how to dismantle organizational and personal barriers, paving the way for true inclusion and sustained success. Don't miss out on this opportunity to be part of the conversation that will shape the future of our workplaces. 👉 Register today: Eventbrite Link #DEI #Leadership #Empowerment #IntentionalInclusion #CharlotteEvents #DiversityMatters

Great course and we love our bystanders. Honestly, without our bystanders help it is much harder to perform life saving care.
National CPR & AED Awareness week is June 1-7, 2024. The American Heart Association has set a goal of doubling the survival of cardiac arrest by 2030. We know that in order to save more lives, we must increase the number of people who are confident to respond to cardiac arrest by calling 911, delivering high-quality CPR and getting and using an AED as soon as it's available. Join us to refresh your skills and know how to teach others! #cprsaves #cprawareness

“…the new configuration had no negative effects on patient outcomes, optimized resource allocation, and led to a substantial 70% reduction in the use of lights and sirens during responses. Additionally, it achieved a 78% decrease in Medic-involved traffic incidents…” Extremely proud to have been apart of the team that took on the challenge of altering our response methodology at Medic (Mecklenburg EMS Agency). The team was recently recognized by the Academy of International Mobile Healthcare Integration with the award for “Excellence in Value Demonstration or Research” along with an additional award for “Excellence in Public Information or Education”. The mantra I repeated during the process still remains true today. When asked “why do it?” —Because it’s the right thing to do.— https://lnkd.in/eu66k-vu
