We had the privilege of touring the Perry Glass Studio at The Chrysler Museum while a student field trip was observing a live demonstration. The level of craftsmanship on display was truly remarkable. The expansion has tripled the studio’s original square footage, providing ample space to showcase its extensive glass art collection, which includes over 10,000 pieces. The additional space also enhances the studio’s capacity to host larger audiences for demonstrations, educational programs, and events in its 200-seat theater. Libraries have evolved far beyond being places to check out booksthey are thriving community hubs that foster connection, learning, and creativity for people of all ages. When constructing a library, it’s important to create a space that meets current needs and can evolve over time. Flexible, multi-purpose areas and robust technological infrastructure allow the library to support diverse activities like workshops, study sessions, and more. Environmental sustainability, accessibility, and inclusivity are also prioritized, ensuring everyone feels welcome. Adding outdoor options, such as garden and patio seating, creates a relaxing atmosphere for those who enjoy reading or gathering outside. #community #library #communityconnection #construction

Building on tight sites, especially next to active tenants, requires careful planning and consideration long before breaking ground. When working on site at ODU's campus, we prioritized minimizing disruption to student life by closely aligning our construction activities with the university's schedule. Taking into account major events, exam periods, and everyday campus life, adjusting our plans to accommodate these needs was a prioity. #tightsite #partnership #surroundingcommunity #laboratory

The Hourigan team had a great time tasting local dishes and rasing money at the March of Dimes annual Signature Chef Event. At this event, local chefs compete for top title and, after tasting all the delicious food, an auction benefits research and community initiatives aimed at supporting families and improving the health of mothers and babies. #support #marchofdimes #community

We were thrilled to participate in this year’s Mission Tomorrow, Richmond’s leading career exploration event for students in the Metro Richmond area. Mission Tomorrow provides students with a unique opportunity to explore a variety of high-demand careers, helping them make informed choices about their high school courses and potential career paths. The three day event allowed us to engage with over 12,000 eighth graders! We’re proud to be part of an event that empowers young minds to envision and plan for their futures in construction and beyond! #missiontomorrow #careerpath #construction ChamberRVA

This condenser water tank is located within the Central Utility Plant (CUP) at our Bon Secours Harbour View project. This essential component serves as a storage tank for the cooling towers situated on the CUP's rooftop. By supporting the cooling system, this tank helps maintain optimal temperatures and efficient energy usage throughout the facility. These tanks ensure a reliable and sustainable cooling solution! #sustainability #construction #CUP #coolingsolution

Engaging in team-building activities off the job site fosters deeper connections, builds trust, and improves communication. These relationships translate to better collaboration, higher morale, and a more positive work environment, which ultimately leads to better project outcomes. Our Springline District 60 team had a team building event with added competition as they raced the track at K1 Speed! #teambuilding #buildrelationships #communication #construction #teamwork
