The annual enrollment period for Medicare is just about half way over. To help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month, over 400 employees across our campuses took part in "Highmark Bright Blue Futures Goes Pink" activities — including packing 300 care kits to help people undergoing treatment for breast cancer, making blankets, writing notes of encouragement, and more.

We are thrilled to share that Mental Well-Being powered by Spring Health is having a very positive impact on our members. Specifically, in the first 6 months of 2024, we’re seeing faster access to appointments, better outcomes than national averages, and a personalized experience to facilitate getting care (often for the first time). Mental and behavioral care are an essential part of caring for the whole person, but lack of access, stigma and other barriers often prevent people from seeking care. We're proud to help support this community, and one of the ways we've done so is through Highmark Inc. and Highmark Wholecare serving as presenting sponsors of the Pennsylvania Latino Convention in Philadelphia. This event highlights the importance of Latino life and culture, and in these photos, you can see some of the rich heritage shared with our employees and other event participants — through panel discussions on topics such as DEI, health and education, a themed vendor area celebrating different Latino cultures from around the world, and more.
