Our State of Carlisle breakfast, presented by F&M Trust was held this morning at the Comfort Suites Downtown Carlisle. We were fortunate to have the Chamber's President & CEO, Nicole Deary, as well as F&M's Chad Carroll, Executive VP/Chief Operating Officer kick-off the breakfast with a welcome. Mr. Carroll also discussed how important this issue is for he and his team at F&M. Today's moderator for our panel discussion was Kirk Stoner, Planning Director from Cumberland County, PA. Our housing panel included: Cate Mellen, CFRE from the United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County; Mary Kuna from The Cumberland County Housing and Redevelopment Authorities; and Scott K. Shewell from Safe Harbour, Inc. Their data and discussion were very informative and provided our attendees with a greater understanding of what the housing crisis in Cumberland County looks like.
