About us
We are The Boston Beer Company and together we are heavy. From the very beginning, Jim Koch wanted to create a company that he would want to work for, creating a culture that celebrated beer with a passion and depth of knowledge that can’t help but be contagious to others. Forty years of brewing beer and cultivating talent later, we continue to be a passionate group of individuals who focus on raising the bar in everything we do. We're always looking for hardworking, motivated and competitive people who strive to push the boundaries and never settle. Not to be lost in the shuffle is the ability to have fun – after all, we are a beer company, and if you can’t have fun in this business, there’s something wrong!

To celebrate the start of basketball season, Samuel Adams teamed up, once again, with our "Other" Cousin From Boston - Derrick White - to release a limited-edition (Derrick) White Ale. Last week, Derrick went behind the bar at our Samuel Adams Downtown Boston Taproom to introduce fans to this new release complete with signed 4-packs, t-shirt tosses, and draft pours. The latest installment of our partnership with the star point guard, (Derrick) White Ale, was white hot with cans selling out over the weekend. Best of all, this specialty brew not only supports our team but also our community. For every pint poured, Samuel Adams is donating $1 to The Greater Boston Food Bank, up to $10K. As a tribute to our veterans, "Sam Salutes," an American lager brimming with West Coast Citra and Simcoe hops for a fresh burst of citrus and malt sweetness, is back this month! In partnership with the New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV), we will honor veterans all month at our Samuel Adams Boston Brewery and Downtown Taproom with this special-release brew that was made for toasting our heroes. Stop by one of our taprooms and let a bartender know you’d like to “buy a vet a pint." We'll provide a personalized card for you to fill out, which veterans can redeem with their Military ID for a Sam Salutes brew. We’re also inviting guests to get ahead of the holidays and write New Year’s cards that will be sent to veterans stationed around the world. Last week, the Dodgers took home the World Series title, and the city of LA came out to play! Our coworkers at Angel City and Truly LA hosted celebrations worthy of champions. Festivities included a meet-and-greet with pitcher Alex Vesia following the championship parade. The hometown hero drew crowds lined up around the block and generated a palpable sense of excitement in the air. That day and always, we are proud of our home turf in LA! Angry Orchard is giving drinkers the ultimate reason to prank unsuspecting friends this fall with a trick that looks like a treat! Each limited-edition Hide & Shriek can is disguised as a seemingly classic Angry Orchard Crisp Apple, but subtle Halloween hints reveal that it’s anything but ordinary. Those who crack open a can for their much anticipated first sip will instead receive a startling surprise - the angriest blood-curdling scream. Drinkers can get their hands on a Hide & Shriek Prank Pack, while supplies last, through the Angry Orchard Store: https://lnkd.in/eMzKMfZZ

Our very own Megan Parisi, Head Brewer at The Samuel Adams downtown Boston Taproom, sat down with Brewbound for its "A Round With" series earlier this fall. The series invites drinkers to tune into conversations with industry leaders as they discuss craft beer trends, share career advice, and talk about the things that inspire them to develop interesting new recipes. Megan's creativity, humility, and curiosity is highlighted through her refreshing takes in this piece. Cheers to you, Megan! Read the full article: https://lnkd.in/eqHpibY3

Angel City Brewery's Apple Pomace Puncheon took home the Silver Medal at last weekend's Great American Beer Festival! We are especially proud of this brew because it's a nod to one of our core values: "together we are heavy." Apple Pomace Puncheon came together as a cross-country collaboration between our Angry Orchard cidery in Walden, N.Y. and our Angel City Brewery in Los Angeles. The cidery provided pressed apples hosting native yeast, which were then added to the brewery's L.A.-made wort and aged hops. The fermentation and aging processes developed sour, funky flavors worthy of award-winning recognition. We capped off Octoberfest season with festivities at our Pennsylvania Brewery this past weekend! Boston Beer coworkers, retirees, and their families came together for some stein-hoisting and socializing and to enjoy the beer styles of the season -- all while fundraising for a great cause. Proceeds from the 50/50 raffle went to PACT for Animals, an animal shelter located in the suburbs of Philadelphia that provides nationwide, free, long-term, in-home foster care for the pets of military members, veterans & hospital patients.
