Elizabeth Lovell, Pharm.D.,FACHE, CPPS, CPHQ, has been named the new vice president of Operations for Bon Secours -- Mary Immaculate Hospital in our Hampton Roads, Virginia market. As VP of Operations, Elizabeth will be responsible for directing and managing the daily operations at Mary Immaculate Hospital. This includes oversight of ancillary, support, and other professional services provided to patients and associates. Elizabeth comes to our Hampton Roads Market from Emory Healthcare in Columbus Georgia, where she played a pivotal role in aligning facility development with organizational strategy, driving successful execution of key projects. She brings to Mary Immaculate more than a dozen years of health care experience, serving in a variety of operations and leadership roles, including positions at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky and Bourbon Community Hospital in Paris, Kentucky. Elizabeth earned her doctorate degree in pharmacy from Auburn University and her master’s degree in health administration from the University of Alabama. By offering a safe space for expression and peer support, KIDZ'NGRIEF helps young people feel heard and navigate complex emotions. Recently, Southside Medical Center had two great days of volunteering in the community. Members of the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team volunteered at a Community Day hosted by a local church, taking blood pressures and educating the community on hypertension and diabetes. Then members of the PACU and Endoscopy teams volunteered at the goodr mobile grocery store in downtown Petersburg. Both of these were wonderful chances to lend a helping hand, promote heart health, and connect with our community.
