Mas caso o desvio tenha sido intencional, consistindo em uma violação deliberada, deve-se buscar enrobustecer etapas do processo de avaliação na seleção, com uso de ferramentas como o Profile Index (P.I.) que tornem mais claros para o recrutador e para o dono da posição quais os requisitos da vaga e o % de match dos candidatos.

Implement monitoring systems (like checklists) to ensure all employees follow established protocols consistently while providing feedback if deviations occur.

New employees are among those most susceptible to workplace injuries. Many times, this can be due to a lack of understanding in the inherent risks involved in a particular task. Skipping steps would often fall in this bucket. I've come across this issues in my career numerous times, and it's rarely failed when I engage the employee with understanding and empathy, in a down to earth tone. Allowing for a low stress environment to help them understand the "why" typically makes an impact, and changes behavior. Also, when in doubt, circle back to this tried and true mantra - Coach, Council, Train. These are an EHS Pro's go to when engaging employees, whether entry level or senior.
