- Engage in active listening to fully understand each stakeholder's perspective and concerns.
- Establish clear communication channels and regular updates to keep everyone informed.
- Create a unified project charter that outlines agreed objectives, roles, and responsibilities.

Stakeholder alignment is crucial for successful marketing projects. I always suggest, clearly communicate project goals, roles, and timelines to all stakeholders. Actively seek feedback and address concerns promptly to build trust and ensure everyone is on the same page, leading to smoother project execution and better outcomes.

Here’s 5 steps to align a marketing project or operation with stakeholder expectations: 1️⃣ Have all stakeholders fully explain what they want, and how success should be measured, and WHY? 2️⃣ Layout realistic goals to be accomplished in a reasonable time frame (Ex: Increase conversion rate by 10% in 6 months). 3️⃣ State every deliverable needed (new website, ad campaign, email sales funnel) and be clear about possible challenges. 4️⃣ Establish consistent communication, and gather feedback every time. People will also probably have additional ideas, or change their minds about details, and it’s on the Marketing, or Project Manager, to reconcile these with the desired outcome. 5️⃣ Celebrate milestones along the way, and the end result!
