I have had this card now for more than a few years and I feel its been a nice addition to my reward cards overall. I have a general card with cash rewards I use for day to day usage but when it comes to amazon purchases I use this card. I was hesitant at first as I worried if I had any issues with a purchase that I would not be given fair consideration but I can say now that over about 5 years and having maybe 2 issues that each time I feel the dispute process was fair and I had equal say in the issue with this card as I would have had with any AMEX cards I have currently. What's nice on this card is the 5% bonus for amazon purchases as I use subscribe and save a bit and before you know it I have almost 500USD in rewards dollars after about 8 months, this is a nice little bit of money to use as the holidays come.

This card has an array of very useful and usable benefits. I end to use mine foe auto rentals because it saves me from having to purchase the expensive insurance coverage at the rental dealership. I also feel more secure with the complete coverage provided. Another very useful benefit is when booking hotels. Amex has great savings opportunities that I just can't pass up. They are continually adding new perks and savings that are truly relevant to a normal lifestyle. You won't be disappointed if you obtain card.

Despite meeting all of my minimum payments, they decided to reduce my credit limit by 25% (which was what I had purposely left unspent) because my balance was too high. They gave me some arbitrary amount to pay (which was more than my minimum) by a date (that was not the due date) and said they would reduce my credit limit if not paid by this date. I paid my minimum due and they proceeded to reduce my credit limit, thus making my balance ratio even higher and punishing my credit.

I will never sign for an American Express card ever again and closing this card once it is cleared out. I was planning my own financial decisions and they crushed my small business plan.

I use this card for pretty much everything now! Gas, groceries, shopping at Amazon and any other place. I make payments bi weekly, so I never carry a balance. Leave my money in the bank, use theirs instead and get the points. No annual fee. The only draw back is that Amex isn't accepted everywhere. However 95% of places take it.

I loaded up completely, another credit card / promotion / 0% interest for 12 months. Am X lowered my available credit limit, LOWERED my credit limit, because they FELT I may be becoming a risk / since I had one of my cards completely loaded. Am X actions in turn, lowered my score on my credit report, so then, two other Am X cards, did the same thing, which further lowered my score, over nothing. be aware, u will b watched, like a hawk. my payment performance IS perfect / 100% on time. This is CRAP. No other cards took any action, and I have 12; all with a $0 balance. Only AM X, over reacted.
