Why hasn’t the submitter provided the final published version of the manuscript to NIHMS?

Due to copyright restrictions, the explicit permission of the publisher is generally needed to deposit the final published version of the article. Please note that contacting the publisher to provide the final published version will delay the processing of the manuscript in NIHMS, and the publisher may deny the request.

We understand that there are often changes made to a manuscript between the accepted and final versions. When the PMC-ready documents are available, the Reviewer will have an opportunity to request necessary text-level edits, as well as corrections to figure, table, video and supplemental files (see the NIHMS Overview for more information on the NIHMS process).
