To mark Children's Day, #GrabIndia hosted a special event to fulfil wishes of 20 wonderful children in collaboration with the Make-A-Wish India Foundation. What a day it was, filled with magic, creativity and joy, thanks to the generous Grabbers who collectively contributed money to make these children’s dreams come true. ✨ Here are some highlights of the celebration: 🪄 Magic Show: The children were captivated by the magic show — laughter, wonder, and awe filled the room! 🎨 Drawing Competition: The kids showcased their creative talents, with winners taking home thoughtful gifts. 🎁 Wish Granting Ceremony: The most heartwarming part of the day. Grabbers who took the lead in fulfilling wishes personally handed over gifts to the children, creating priceless moments of joy and gratitude. Achieving a new milestone, #GrabThailand has received "AMCHAM Corporate Social Impact Award" from U.S. Ambassador Robert Godec and AMCHAM Board Governor Simon Denye at the awards ceremony on November 13. This award recognizes our impactful social initiatives in Thailand in three key areas; Environmental Sustainability: Our Grab EV programme is steering towards a 10% electric fleet by 2026, while our Carbon Offset programme has contributed to planting over 150,000 trees in 2024. Digital Inclusion: Programmes such as Grab Women Driver and Grab Wai Kao (Elderly Drivers) are creating meaningful income opportunities. Learning & Development: GrabAcademy provides comprehensive online training and learning resources to foster the growth of drivers and merchant partners. In the heart of our mission lies the belief that every step forward can change lives. Guided by the same, we recently donated some laptops to children in Indonesia and Thailand. 💻 In Indonesia, with the invaluable assistance of the ID Tech team, the GTS team donated 50 laptops to students in Subang, West Java. These laptops, initially set for scrapping as per Grab’s internal policy, have found a new purpose, empowering students with the tools they need to succeed. 👨🎓 A heartfelt thanks to our dedicated GTS team in Chiang Mai, Thailand, who meticulously wiped, checked, cleaned, and prepared 45 laptops to support the Group Internal Audit team at the Care Corner Orphanage Foundation. 👩💻 Special appreciation to Natchaya Khemphet for joining us despite the flooding challenges, ensuring these laptops were ready for the children. Alongside the laptop donation, we also treated the children to a meal and a shopping trip for school supplies, making the day even more memorable. This initiative highlights our commitment to sustainability.
