New York is the largest financial hub in the world. 🌍 It is synonymous with global finance, home to two major stock exchanges and numerous investment banks and other financial giants. Norges Bank has a long-standing relationship with New York's financial world. 📈   It all started in 1940, when Norway’s gold reserve was sent to New York and secured at the Federal Reserve Bank due to the outbreak of the Second World War. 🏦 We essentially moved our financial wealth to the city and opened an office at Wall Street 2 with just one employee. 👤   Today, there is no more gold, but Norway still holds most of its financial wealth in New York. 💼 More than half of our 2 trillion dollars investments are in North American markets, overseen by Pia, John, Austin, Zoe, and their 100 colleagues at our office on Fifth Avenue. 🗽

Expanding ownership in London’s West End real estate 🏙️🏢 We have now increased our stake by acquiring an additional 10 percent interest in The Pollen Estate. Exciting news! 🎉 We’ve acquired a 97.7 percent interest in an office property located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our $217 million investment secures a 97.7% ownership interest, with the property comprising 133,449 square feet of office space 🏢 Divco acquired the remaining 2.3% interest in the property and will manage the asset through one of its subsidiaries on behalf of the joint venture. Fund’s value at 18,870 billion kroner - positive return across all asset classes in the third quarter 📈 "We had a positive return across all our investment areas. Falling interest rates led to a broad rise in the stock market”, says Deputy CEO Trond Grande. Market value was up by 835 billion Norwegian kroner in Q3, and the fund returned 4.4 percent from July to September.
