Today, a delegation from the Gov. Of Odisha, led by Smt. Shalini Pandit, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, and Smt. Ananya Das, IAS, SPD, OSEPA, visited iHub Gujarat. The delegates interacted with the iHub team and the Innovation Cell of Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. Mr. Hiranmay Mahanta [CEO, iHub] and Mr. JayKumar Joshi [Program Head, i-Hub] briefed them on the policies under SSIP designed to support and encourage innovation by providing students with resources, mentorship, and funding to turn their ideas into impactful solutions. The discussions focused on implementing educational strategies to promote entrepreneurship, mentorship, and support for higher education students. Later, the delegation toured the iHub facilities, interacting with startups in the co-working space. In addition to this the delegation expressed interest to interface with innovators and startups who are having solutions for inclusive education. Delegates: Smt. i-Hub Gujarat, in collaboration with the IRMA ISEED Foundation, hosted an event designed to connect early-stage, high-impact startups with impact-driven investors. During the event, government officials engaged in roundtable discussions with investors. And shared valuable insights on enhancing and accelerating the development and implementation of upcoming policies to strengthen Gujarat's startup ecosystem further. A roundtable discussion, chaired by Smt. Sunaina Tomar, IAS, ACS for the Higher and Technical Education Department, Gujarat, and Chairperson of i-Hub, along with Shri Banchhanidhi Pani, Commissioner Technical Education, Gujarat, Director i-Hub, brought together investors and startups for an engaging dialogue. The discussions focused on strengthening the startup pipeline from academics by designing specialized entrepreneurship courses and encouraging innovation among the youth. Additionally, the conversation centered around creating a comprehensive policy framework that involves local funds and the state government to co-create a "fund of funds," aimed at supporting and scaling impactful startups.

The event began with an introductory roundtable, where investors shared insights into their investment focus, domains, and stages, while Mr. Jaykumar Joshi [Program Head, i-Hub] briefed on the key funding schemes at i-Hub such as the Startup Srujan Seed Support. Mr. 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 [CEO, i-Hub], highlighted the emerging role of startups and innovation in governance. Further, deep dive sessions were conducted, where 26 startups presented their ideas to 18 investors in one-on-one interactions. These sessions allowed for in-depth discussions on business models, scalability, and potential collaborations, creating a platform for startups to gain valuable feedback, and secure potential investment opportunities.
