Hence we are always testing and improving our materials and products to meet our high standards. As such, we’ve discovered that the power switch functionality of our new avalanche beacons, Barryvox 2 and Barryvox S2 (available since this Fall), may be compromised in some cases. 𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚 𝐝𝐚𝐲 | That's the amount of textiles thrown away in Switzerland every day. This accumulating waste is a problem that Swiss textile companies such as Mammut are committed to counteract. As a founding member of Fabric Loop, together with CALIDA AG, Odlo, PKZ Burger-Kehl & Co. AG, Radys, Switcher, workfashion.com ag and Swiss Textiles, Mammut is therefore supporting the introduction of an early recycling contribution in Switzerland. The aim is to create a Swiss-wide circular solution for all textiles on the Swiss market by promoting reuse, repair and recycling to close textile loops. Mammut athlete Jakob Schubert and Jessica Pilz take the title at the Red Bull Dual Ascent 2024 ! 🏆   The Austrian duo dominated this 3rd edition of the Red Bull Dual Ascent at the 220m high Verzasca Dam in Switzerland, completing the six pitches with difficulties up to 8b in just 48 minutes and 46 seconds. Despite facing increased challenges in the final pitch, their determination and skill secured Jakob Schubert and Jessica Pilz the victory.   A special mention to the Swiss team & Mammut athletes, Sascha Lehman and Andrea Kümin, who put up a strong fight, as well as to all other athletes taking part in this year's edition.   This event showcased incredible talent and perseverance. Plan B First Ascent 🔝 🏔️ On October 8, 2024, Mammut athletes Jonas Schild and Stephan Siegrist, together with their climbing partners Kaspar Grossniklaus and Hugo Beguin, mastered what was probably the first ascent of the southwest ridge of the six-thousand-meter peak Bhagirathi III in India. The initiative for carbon dioxide (CO2) removal and its storage in concrete marks a significant step forward in the fight against climate change.
